Graffiti (singular: graffito; the plural is used as a mass noun) is the name for images or lettering scratched, scrawled, painted or any form of marking on property that does not belong to the artist. Graffiti is often regarded by others as unsightly damage or unwanted vandalism.

The translation of graffiti in wikipedia i search it up too..

But the best to describe it would be the artist themself to know it how making graffiti likes to...
As in the older post i put about the stencil is are basically i other form in graffiti

Graffiti can be recategorized in

1)TAG: A "tag" is the most basic writing of an artist's name in either spray paint or marker. A graffiti writer's tag is his or her personalized signature.

2)THROW UP: A "fill-in," which is normally painted very quickly with two or three colors, sacrificing aesthetics for speed. Throw-ups can also be outlined on a surface with one color. A "piece" is a more elaborate representation of the artist's name, incorporating more stylized "block" or "bubble" letters, using three or more colors.

3)WILDSTYLE: a form of graffiti involving interlocking letters, arrows, and connecting points. These pieces are often harder to read by non-graffiti artists as the letters merge into one another in an often undecipherable manner.

These some of type of the graffiti i found in wikipedia..

The graffiti scene are going uprise since past few years..I like to do graffiti but not really make of good artwork though..

Some of the best graff writer in Malaysia i currently know is like Bee Phobia, Katun, Tribe and Sopey..Maybe a lot of artist i never seen or heard but every graff writer have their own on expressing their and style of their choose...

But some people like to condemn whether Graffiti is an art or just matter of vandal in a very different way..From my opinion Graffiti is a form of a "ART" when u can turn an old building or wall of brick into your canvas..
And whats not nice is for the uneducated graff writer that just simply do graffiti in uncertain place or just like inappropriate..

For me graffiti is nice, some of the subculture and yeah when you are young you need to experience all the things you need to try but in the good way..

Coming post i will put some pic of the graffiti in local scene or international
And some of the pionner in Graffiti..

Street stencils

Main article: Stencil graffiti

Stencils have also become popular for graffiti, since stencil art using spray-paint can be produced quickly and easily. These qualities are important for graffiti artists where stenciling is illegal or quasi-legal, depending on the city and stenciling surface. The extensive lettering possible with stencils makes it especially attractive to political artists. For example, the anarcho-punk band Crass used stencils of anti-war, anarchist, feminist and anti-consumerist messages in a long-term graffiti campaign around the London Underground system and on advertising billboards. [1] Also well known for their use of stencil art are Blek le Rat from France, Banksy, a British artist and New York artist John

This is like to say my fav past time hobby but nowadays i rarely to make of it.

Its nice and easy to do...

And in this blog i will try to make a brief of some "guru" in stenciling in locally and international..

I will update my stencil picture in my coming post...
